We are a 24/7 crisis support service and work 365 days a year.

The team will see young people and families in a variety of settings.

This could include:

  • at home
  • in school
  • the emergency department
  • a child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) clinical space
  • within the inpatient setting

The service comprises staff from both CAMHS and children’s social are team, The teams aim to work jointly with families to help support their recovery journey.

Referrals can be sent to the CAMHS Access Team, who will screen these.

If appropriate, the CAMHS Access Team will send on to Multi-Agency Rapid Response Service if an urgent response is needed.

Information for young people

On setting up the service, it was important for us to ensure we captured the voice of Cornwall’s young people.

We have worked with many young people from our service and from other organisations to ensure we are listening to your voice. We will aim to support you and ensure you get the right help at the right time.

We would encourage you to give feedback of your experience of our services to help us to continue to offer good quality care to our families.
